JB Barber has been writing cowboy poetry for 15 years. He draws upon his experience growing up in Texas and Oregon as a rodeo rough-stock rider and other odd jobs. Jeffrey Parker (Yakima, WA)
Jeffery Parker is an award-winning singer and songwriter who has professionally played guitar and mandolin for over 30 years. Starting in the mid-70s, he played with the bluegrass band Surewood around the Seattle area. Jeffery then moved to Alaska and worked as a solo artist. There, he also performed as a duo with Juanita Parker. With years of working on the road, Jeff has honed his craft by playing various musical styles. In 2003, he published a CD, About Time, consisting of original music and one meaningful cover. In 2015, Jeffery published a four-song EP called Workin the Weather. Then, in 2019, he released a second CD of original works named San Juan del Puerto. Jeff is a proud supporter of the Yakima Folklife Festival.
