SFCC World Drumming Ensemble
The SFCC World Drumming Ensemble is open to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced, with no prior drumming or music-reading experience required. However, some background in both areas is helpful. Through drumming, singing, and dance traditions, this ensemble introduces participants to music cultures outside the North American continent, including African, Brazilian, Cuban, Caribbean, and Afro-Cuban cultures. Professional dancers often collaborate with this ensemble to augment the authentic experience of traditional and contemporary world music. The college provides instruments for student use, and enrolled students may check out a limited number of instruments for practice at home. Please enroll in MUSC 134 with Zyskowski as Instructor.
