PictureIndian Youth Club of Spokane - Sindhu & Uma
Indian Youth Club of Spokane is a group organized voluntarily by community members and parents to enable kids to celebrate their culture and engaging in community services.

Our video contains four performances. The first dance performed by Sindhu Surapaneni is Kuttanadan Punjayile, a traditional Indian Malayalam folk song sung in chorus by boat rowers during their ceremonial races.

The second dance is a remix of Tollywood and Bollywood performance done by Sindhu Surapaneni and Natalie Newell. Bollywood Dance style is a fusion of various dance styles. It includes Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Bhangra, Jazz, Hip-hop, Arabic and Western dance.

The third dance is a Bollywood Dance, the name given to the dance form used in Indian (Hindi) films. The most energetic and colorful Indian dance forms merged with other dance forms from around the world, and now is the famous Bollywood dance. This Bollywood dance is a remix of 3 different songs and is performed by Sindhu Surapaneni from the Indian youth club of Spokane, Addison Powers, Maira Frank, and Kayla Jensen

Note that Sindhu is excited to share Indian culture with her friends by teaching Bollywood dance. She is open to give free Bollywood lessons to anyone who wants to learn Bollywood dance. If you are interested in learning Bollywood dance contact [email protected].

The fourth performance is by Sindhu Surapaneni and Uma Warren, both are Indian Youth club of Spokane members. They perform a traditional Indian Bharathanatyam Dance to Gajavadana Beduvae Praising Lord Ganesha who is worshipped by all the three worlds.
