Coeur d’Alene Youth Marimba was organized in 2008 to take talented elementary and middle school music students to higher levels with their marimba skills. Performing the Zimbabwean-style music is their absolute favorite and it also helps them earn their way to study with the Zimbabwean masters at Zimfest, a Pacific Northwest summer event they all attend every three years. It’s their perfection – high-energy and irresistible fun – that makes their performance to enjoyable.
