Banna Damhsa

Banna Damhsa
Banna Damhsa (pronounced BONna DOWsa) means “Dance Band.” Jan Clizer, Dave Beach, and Char Beach have come together from various musical backgrounds to bring you energetic and fun music for your dancing pleasure!

A professional fine artist (janclizerpainting.com), Jan Clizer’s passion for Celtic culture and music has been lifelong and is the focus of her paintings and music. She has stayed extensively in Scotland and explored frequently in the UK. In Jan/Feb 2019, she toured Scotland with Alasdair Fraser and the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers. The husband and wife team, Dave and Char Beach, round out the trio.

Dave Beach, a veteran of many bands in the inland northwest, plays hard-driving guitar and fast-moving mandolin. Among his many talents is instrument making, and you will see him playing his own “Howling Dog” brand instruments. Char Beach plays guitar, harp, and bodhran; singing is her passion.

Dry and Dusty Country
Picture
Dry & Dusty Country
Dry and Dusty Country is an old-time country band from Spokane, WA. Sisters Ruthie and Sally Jablonsky grew up playing music with their parents, hiking in the desert, singing cowboy songs, and learning the old tunes from their extended family at fiddle festivals. As well as being firmly rooted in the Appalachian fiddle tradition, the sisters write new country songs that are crooked, lonesome, and true. Their partners join them: Ben, a jazz-brained Californian who loves cooking unusual varieties of beans, and Milo, a double-coasted spoon tapper-drum whapper specializing in writing stories, tinkering, and making memories.

We would love to play for a honky tonk or two-step dance. We play electrified old country songs (George Jones, Louvin Brothers, Kitty Wells, etc.).

Stevie Lynne is an award-winning songwriter and music artist from Spokane, Washington. With a sultry and raw voice that captivates audiences, Stevie Lynne provokes a soulful and emotive response. Her music has echoed in the halls of the notorious Bing Crosby Theater, on the streets of Italy, and she has been featured twice on KSPS PBS with Inland Sessions and Northwest Profiles. She was awarded second place in 2019’s Nightlight Northwest Songsmith Challenge and Best Performance at the 2021 Inland Northwest CMA Awards. Her latest music video, We Are the People, has amassed over 40,000 views online. Stevie Lynne’s live performances include her solo act along with her eclectic partnerships as Jovie & the Honey Chuckle with her husband, Joey Anderson, and as Crown Rational with Alyssa Nicole Boldt. She is also a Registered Nurse while working as an event promoter and assistant producer of Spokane’s Black Diamond Presents concert series, which highlights the best of Spokane’s singer/songwriters.

Jeffrey Parker

Jeffrey Parker
Jeffrey Parker is an award-winning singer/songwriter who has professionally played guitar & mandolin for over 30 years. Starting in the mid-70s, he played with the bluegrass band "Surewood" around the Seattle area. He then moved to Alaska and worked as a solo and duo performer with Juanita Parker. With years of working on the road, Jeff has honed his craft by playing various musical styles. In 2003, he published a CD entitled "It's About Time" consisting of original music (and one meaningful cover), and in 2015, he published a four-song EP called "Workin' the Weather" and in 2019, just released a second CD of original works named "San Juan del Puerto."

In 2011, Jeff formed the duo "Road Less Traveled" with flutist Anne McKennon and enjoyed performing in the Jacksonville, Florida area until the recent move back home to the Great Northwest.

Jeff now calls Yakima, WA, home. Playing fingerstyle and flat-picking guitar, he can quickly adapt to provide driving, toe-tapping lead, or more gentle background music, and in 2015, he was a finalist in the Ray Lewis Mudville Music Room songwriting contest and Gram Parsons Guitar Pull/River Keeper songwriting contest. Jeff is a proud member and supporter of the Yakima Folklife Festival and volunteers as time allows from his busy schedule.

Jeff is playing and recording new and not-so-new music full-time (the sea is always in the back of his mind). In addition to Jeff's original songs, a partial list of cover songs is available on his ReverbNation blog.

His 2017 3rd place award in the prestigious Will McLean Festival, New Florida Song contest, is one of the best examples of Jeff's songwriting skills.
